Visitors to St. Joseph Altars will often save a small piece of blessed bread for protection during bad storms. Tradition has it that the bread is thrown outside during the storm and St. Joseph is invoked to intercede and diminish the inclement weather. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a piece of blessed bread, but that is certainly not a requirement for asking St. Joseph for help!
Hurricane Gustav continues to become a major threat to southern Louisiana. Models are showing Gustav hitting shore as a category 4 or 5 hurricane sometime early next week.
Please pray to St. Joseph for all in the path of this hurricane.

New blog
The Virtual St. Joseph Altar Blog began in February 2008. It is an offshoot of the Virtual St. Joseph Altar which is now in its 10th year online. Due to technical problems I have moved the blog to this new location at Blogspot. I have transferred some of the more recent posts, but I won't be moving everything. We'll just go from here!
